Transcend Coaching
Workshops

We work with clients to develop offsite meetings, strategy sessions and team-building events designed to address your specific issues and identify opportunities for your group.

Some of the elements we incorporate most often include:

Strengths Oriented Leadership. Rather than focusing attentions on what is not working and where participants are weak, a strength-based approach uncovers the natural patterns of thinking and behaving that make each individual strong, and allow them to shine. In recognizing the strengths of each individual, and differences in the strength profiles of the team, participants gain mutual understanding, and learn to leverage their differences to improve team results.

Communication Styles. Everyone has preferred modes of communicating and receiving communication from others. This quick self-administered and self-scored style assessment allows participants to identify their natural patterns and those of their teammates, and how they might conflict or agree. The results can be used to structure dialogue, increase understanding and add tools to everyone’s communications toolkit.

Leadership Success Factors. Great leaders have the ability to easily motivate themselves and others to take positive action towards goals. The most fundamental characteristic of leaders it that ability to bring others with them and share their vision. Participants will receive a framework for thinking about how attitude ad core beliefs shape their ability to lead and how they can shift this to become more effective leaders.

Strategic Planning Skills. There are several fundamental skills that make up great strategic thinking, and this workshop covers the basics of those skills, helps participants reveal their preferred strategic thinking skills, and clarifies for the team how this plays into strategic thinking and planning activities in the business.

Strategic Planning Facilitation. In order to get full participation from everyone at a strategic planning session, professional facilitators manage the meeting, making sure all points of view are heard, that the agenda is honored, and that everyone can fully engage in the content of the meeting and not be distracted by logistics or meeting management. We work with your leaders to establish the planning model, and lead the process to develop action plans and milestones.

Conflict Management. Conflict is inherent in any organization. Differing perspectives, budgets, customers, resources and skills create conflict at many levels, and can be healthy for the organization. However, when conflict becomes dysfunctional, leaders need a framework and strong tools for disengaging from the drama triangle and focusing on meeting the challenge at hand. Participants will be introduced to the nature of conflict, reasons we find ourselves in conflict so frequently, and tools for embracing healthy conflict and making it productive.

Values-Based Culture. Growing organizations often develop processes, rules and structure to maintain control of organizational activities when you can’t see everyone. This certainly gains control, but often at the expense of autonomy and innovation. A powerful alternative to more rules, is to define and nurture a strong company culture based on clearly articulated values. This workshop allows participants to refine and clarify company values, define desired outcomes and commit to a course of action to keep values-centric culture alive in the day to day operation of the company.

Whether you need to review your strategic plan, or build a more successful team, or add some critical skills to your team’s toolkit, we have workshops to address your big picture goals.
